Rotating picture

Ron Chapple

Using Word 2000, I am putting text on a 18 x 13 cm photo. With landscape
orientation, I can fit two photos on an A4 page. With photos in portrait
orientation, can I rotate them after putting on the text, so that I can
still fit two photos per page?

Thank you,
Ron.

Use a graphics application for working with graphics, Ron. If you happen to
have MS Office 2000 Premium, you've got PhotoDraw, which is an incredibly
useful tool for such a purpose. Otherwise, you can try using MS Paint or
perhaps www.Irfanview.com does this--I'm not sure.

If you put the photos in a table, you can use the Text Direction command to
rotate them, but you'll need to use text boxes (also with rotated text) to
put text on top of the photos; if you're adding a caption below, you can do
this inline. If both photo and text are in the drawing layer, you can group
them and rotate, but they'll be harder to manage.
