Rules corrupt

I have rules set up for incoming messages in MS Outlook 2002. This used to
work fine, but recently some of my emails have not been transferred to the
correct folders. I had not changed any settings. It also seems to happen
randomly. For example, I have a rule for a mailing list I am on: sometimes
the mail goes to the correct folder and soemtimes it stays in my inbox. Is
there a file that holds the rules instructions that could be corrupt?

Check your rules to ensure that something has not been unchecked or that you
do not have a conflicting rule that is preventing the proper movement to the
assigned folder.

The same rules worked fine before but suddenly do not work properly
anymore.
