Rules have disappeared

I'm using Outlook 2000.

I recently switched from using a POP3 account to an IMAP account so I could
access my messages on my two different operating systems (Win2k and Win
88SE).

In doing the switch I removed the POP3 account so the PC wouldnt delete the
messages on the server thus making the IMAP account redundant.

Anyway, in doing this my rules have disappeared! - Using rules wizard I
only get the choice of my IMAP inbox where, unsuprisingly, I have no rules
yet set up. Are the rules lost forever? Can I import them from my archived
..pst file?

It seems a bit sneaky for Outlook to embed rules in an account rather than
store them within the pst file.

Thanks for any advice

Andrew

Therefor it is stored in the pst and not in the account. The only thing is
that rules only work on the pst that is set as default (the Outlook Today)
folder. So as long as it isn't your default folder you won't see the rules.
Go to your account properties to set your archived pst-folder as your
delivery location and you can access your rules to export them.

Hope this helps!
