Rules Only Work as "Run Now"

I have created some Outlook rules, they work, but only
when I select Run Now. Yes, I've turned the rule on.

Really odd.

You're not alone -- see the thread from about a month ago: "Outlook 2k
Automatic rules not working." There have been a few other postings in
the last few months which seem to describe the same phenomenon. No
solutions found yet as far as I know...

do they never run automatically or just after opening outlook? Outlook
downloads mail before the rules engine loads butt if you leave OL running,
they work correctly.

I can't speak for Tarka but, in my case, they fail to run automatically
even after Outlook has just opened and performed the first download.

Same here! And this only started happening recently for
me. Until just about a week ago, all my rules were running
automatically. Now those SAME rules are only running when
I do it manually.
