Run from network setup option

Are there any advantages (performance/updates/etc...) in setting up an administrative installation point and configuring Office to Run From Network versus having an administrative installation point and configuring Office to Run From My Computer

Almost the same question. Does anybody know if it is better to install MS Office XP from a admin setup (/a) then use group policy or use group policy to install proplus.msi
