run time error when insert picture from file with thumbnail mode

Hello I receive run time error, abnormal termination when I want to insert
picture in powerpoint and I choose the directory mydocument.

This error exist if I use thumbnail preview files.
If I use "details" view mode the error disappears.

Note this problem also in other microsoft office products like excel.

Please help.
