Running defferent versions of Publisher on the same computer

Sue Smith

Hi
I have searched the newsgroups, but cannot find the answer to this question.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am currently running Publisher
2000. My computer is a Pentium 4 CPU 3.40GHz with 3.12 GB of RAM. There are
features on the 2003 version of Publisher that I like, but there are also
some features on the 2000 version that I like better! Is it possible to run
both versions on the same machine?
Thanks for your help

I have almost all versions of Publisher running on my computer. Just put each version
in a separate folder.

Thak you Mary. When you say a 'different folder', what exactly do you mean?
Different drives? or just a different folder in the 'Programs Folder'. Do
you have the different versions running from the same drive?

In different program folders.

The only issue really is that whichever version you install LAST will be the
default version of Publisher that will try to open a Publisher file if you
were to double click on a Publisher file to open it. So, say you installed
Publisher 2000 last, and you double click on a 2003 file, it won't open
because it's trying to open in 2000. That just means you will need to open
Pub 2003, THEN browse to the 2003 file to open it.
