Running SR-1 Update in quiet mode and specifiying default CD Directory

A

adiel

Hello, how do you specify the SR-1 update to run in quiet mode and
also how do you override the default directory where it will look for
the Office 2000 CD? For example:

o2ksr1a.exe /q /lookhere:\\cdserver\office2000cd

In the above example /q is the correct quiet mode switch, and lookhere
would be the switch to specify where to look for the office 2000 cd.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks Before Hand,
Adiel

Hi Adiel,

Are you talking about doing a standalone PC update or
updating an Office 2000 Admin point and then refreshing
the client install from the Admin point?

In general, the user updates look to the registry for the
location of the original install source of Office. You can
change or add a server/source location using the information
in this article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;267362&FR=1

The quiet mode switches for single user Office 2000 update
are listed in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;255260&FR=1
