Sample solution for planning personnel shop resources available?

Hi all!
I operate a business for spectacles and lenses. Two shops are each open 6
days a week. Staff is 12 people, half of them part-time. I need to develop a
plan to accomodate opening hours, personnel resources, leave, estimated
illness etc. I suppose this can be done with MS Project and would require a
sample solution to avoid starting from scratch.
Any support would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

I wouldn't use Project for this as it's not designed for operational
support. Project requires skilled use, so if you suddenly needed someone
else to edit your schedule you would likely end up with a big mess! I would
start with Excel with maybe one workbook for each financial year.
