"Save As (Not Responding)" in Office 2003 Pro

Hello,

After installing some security updates for WinXP, Word and other Office
applications won't allow me to save nor open a file. I click on "Save As" and
then double click on a folder within My Documents. The folder does not open
and then the title bar says it's not responding. I'm not connected to a
network and have no network drives to disconnect. Also, I'm running Windows
XP Pro.

I've uninstalled Office twice and used two different registry cleaners.
Then, I installed Office 2003 again and downloaded Service Pack 2 for it. I
already disabled the Office plug-in within Nortons Anti-virus.

What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

Try uninstalling KB 908531 (Security Update MS06-15) to see if your
functionality returns. (Note: I have not been able to duplicate on 3
workstations.)

Neo,

It worked. Thank you from saving me three or more hours on WinXP reinstall.
Have a great holiday!
