save columns in Project 2003

I post this in the Project Server thread because it's affected by Project
Server.

When I open a project that's published to the Project Server 2003 the
columns in MS Project come from the Enterprise Global Template. If I add a
column I get the "edits will not be saved" box. The column works fine for
this session....but the next time in the project I have to add the column
again. Is there any way -- without adding the column in the Enterprise Global
Template -- to not have to add this column each time I open the project?

Jesse:

Apply your changes to a local view and they'll persist from session to
session. In other words, select the "Gantt Chart" view rather than the
"Enterprise Gantt Chart" view. You can also create your own views.
