Saved in OL2003 not accessible in older versions

I want to share message files with others and they do not all have OL2003.
When I do this they got a message that they need a newer version of OL. Is
there a way to save messages (drag and drop to windows folder) in .msg format
with OL2003 so that the files are still readable in older versions?

I can save the messages in HTML format but only 1 at a time.
