Saving a *.pub file

Alexita

I received a publish document with 7.3MB but when saving it in my desktop it
compresses to 1.3MB. How can I save it without compressing its size?

Thank you for trying to help, it really is appreciated.

I received it as an .pub file with 11mb through outlook, i am able to open
it with no problem but when saving it after some changes it compresses it.
What do you think is the problem?

Which version of Publisher are you using? do you happen to know whioch
version of Publisher it was created with? I'm guessing it was created with
Pub 2000 or older and you have a newer version.

Can you tell if anything is different between the two versions of the
publication?

I see no difference at all, but as i said after doing some changes to the
document and saving it gets compressed.... is possible that some settings
within outlook/publisher is causing it??

Just wondering...could you ask the sender what
the file size was before the .pub document was
e-mailed?
