saving as .jpg

I am trying to save just a portion of a visio diagram as .jpg, .gif,
or any similar type, for placement into another software program. I
have created over 100 diagrams that can be altered by the user, but I
need just portions of each. Can anybody help?

Select the shapes that you want in the exported diagram then do a
SaveAs. GIF, PNG, EMF, WMF are probably the best formats. JPG is
designed for photos.
