Saving files in Publisher causes crash

I have Publisher 2002 (XP). When I go to save a document,
(both Save As and Save) I get the wonderful "Your program
has done something we don't like, so you are going to
loose all your information and we are shutting it down"
or something to that affect. I have installed Office XP
SP3 and viewed the online FAQ for Publisher problems. I
don't have the VooDoo video card (but updated my NVidia
driver anyway) so the FAQ answers didn't help. I haven't
added or removed any software since the last time I
successfully saved something in that program. Anyone else
having this problem and know a fix?

Are you on a network, or are you saving and working from your local hard
drive?

Have you tried safe mode as Brian suggested? Could be a printer driver too.
