Saving graphics as WMFs

Hi

When I have created a vector graphic in Word, using the drawing tools, is
there any way in which I can save the graphic as a WMF file? I also
sometimes use MS clip art WMF files and modify them slightly, but there
seems to be no way of saving them back as a WMF. I can of course copy and
paste them from document to document, but that isn't quite the same as being
able to hold the graphic itself as a free-standing file.

Help would be appreciated!

Do you have PowerPoint or Publisher? You can paste special into these programs
and save as a .wmf.

Thanks Mary, but this doesn't really work the way I want. If I paste my
picture into Powerpoint and then save as a WMF file, the resulting graphic
includes the rest of the blank area of the slide. I can't see how to save
just the graphic itself. Of course once I have inserted the WMF file into
my new document, I can always ungroup and delete the blank background, but
this rather defeats the object of the exercise. How are the MS clipart WMFs
created, edited and stored?

Many thanks, Mary. I didn't think of right clicking the picture itself!
