I'm working on a simply slide show presentation with music on PowerPoint Mac 2008 and I want to save it as a QT Movie that I can eventually burn to CD or DVD for sharing. However, once I've done this all my hard work is in vain as the duration of transitions (dissolves) are lengthened and the presentation is much longer than it was as a pptx file. The musical track runs out well before the end of the slide show yet as a pptx presentation it is perfectly timed. Can anyone help troubleshoot this very frustrating problem? Why is the Movie changing all the timings and so different to the finished pptx presentation?

It looks like versions of this same problem exist in forum posts back through 2009. I have the same problem. I saved a PPT as a movie, including a narration. The movie was fine, but the narration did not copy over. It would be nice if Microsoft responds to this, as the literature on the software touts this feature....which apparently never has worked in Office 2008.
