Greetings everyone,
I am kind of new in regards to posting I hope I am in the
right place. I am legally blind so I use a text to speech
program quite often however I do see some. I do a lot of
scanning of typewritten mail pamphlets, and you name it I
probably scan it. Then I select whatever I have scanned
and have my reader read it to me. I can see some to read
it just makes it a little easier and faster. I have an H
P scanner 3500-C. The scanner works perfectly well.
However I discovered that sometimes what you see from the
scan document is not what is accurately copied. My text
reader reads from the clipboard then automatically deletes
after reading. I noticed that some words were
mispronounced and in visually checking the spelling the
word appeared to be just fine. Because I do have a good
reader I decided to copy this mispronounced text into
notepad. To my amazement part of the word was missing in
the notepad. So my question is why is the word visually
intact in the scanned document but it is not always copied
properly to the clipboard. I have tried scanning with
different resolutions but occasionally it still happens
and there doesn't seem to be any pattern.
If anyone has any thoughts I would certainly appreciate
them just one more note I have Windows XP-Home my computer
works just fine plenty of of RAM plenty of disk space, all
the latest updates for X P and MS word 2003. Again thanks
for any help,
Roger
