I am trying to figure out it PPT can be shown full screen on a projector without being shown full screen on my comp monitor. I would like to be able to show a slide show but access other applications without them being shown on the projector, while the PPT presentation is going on.

Regarding to what is explained about second monitor setting in the given
link, PPT can use the secondary monitor (or projector) when connected to
your system. In PPT use menu SlideShow-SlideShow settings... and there must
be at the bottom of the window that shows up, a drop-down-list giving you
the opportunity to select your standard or your secondary monitor. This only
is shown when the second monitor is actually connected to the machine!
O, and it only works for PPT 2000 and up.
