Scroll bar on right disappeared - Mac Word 98

S

Steve Emerson

In Word 98 for the Mac, the click-or-drag scrollbar on the
right of document windows has disappeared. It does appear
sporadically, mostly not.

I'm hesitant to dump the Preferences for the app, because
there are so many for this monster.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
Steve.

Quit, drag the prefs to the desktop, reopen, you can reinstall them if it
doesn't solve the problem.

For further help, post to a Mac-specific group (the word one), see below.

For Mac-specific problems that involve glitches with Word, or
software/hardware interactions or installation issues rather than
manipulating Word itself to produce a document, you are probably better off
posting in a Mac newsgroup:

microsoft.public.mac.office.word
microsoft.public.mac.office
microsoft.public.mac.office.excel
microsoft.public.mac.office.powerpoint
microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage

You can access these through the MS site, via Google Groups, or by setting
up a newsreader.

For direct links to the Google interface for Mac NGs:

Newsreaders are usually most efficient--here's a link on how to configure a
newsreader (e.g. Entourage or Outlook Express)
