scrolling, failure to close, runtime error

1) Simultaneous pane scrolling. I have a split pane in
Outlook -- the top is for my list of messages, the bottom
is an open message. Sometimes, if I scroll through the
open message to read it, the list of messages in the top
pane also scrolls simulaneously. Why, and how can I stop
this from happening?

2) Outlook fails to close normally. When I log off
Windows, I get the "not responding" window multiple times
to close Outlook. If I check in Task Manager, I will
have multiple appearances of OUTLOOK.EXE if I have opened
Outlook more than once during a session. How can I get
Outlook to close normally?

3) Runtime error. I often (but not always) get a runtime
error when opening Outlook. I close Outlook and am
always able to open it successfully on the second try.
Why, and how can I fix this problem?

Thanks!
