Search ALL fields of Contact record, rather than just 'File As'

I received a call from a person but couldn't indentify the individual, so I
searched for the phone number. As it turns out, it seems that the default
search looks at only the 'File As' field. Can I change the default search to
search All Contact Fields rather than just 'File As' fields?
