Search Folders - Problems finding simple criteria specified

i'm trying to set-up search folders that contain (in conversation form) all
mail between myself and each of my regular contacts in my Outlook Contacts
list. I have set-up a list of about 20 of these search folders for regular
conrrespondeees. In some of these search folders i am able to view their
messages to me, interlaced with my replies to them... all well and good.
but!!! in 'some' folders, I seem just to find the messages from them AND NOT
MY ACCOMPANYING replies. i've looked at every setting i can find and can see
no difference between those that find my replies and those that dont.. Hope
someone out there can help, it's driving me insane (as these probs so often
do!). Thanks in anticipation..!

OK. orignal problem i was having regarding search folders finding the
recipient's mail but not my sent items to them is now solved. I did run the
..pst inbox tool and it did find errors (so thanks for that one) but the
problem continued after the .pst repairs. It seems though that the reason
some' search folders were finding sent mail and not others was that the ones
that were not finding my sent mail were allied to Outlook contacts that I had
altered [naming fields] for at some point in the past (and not realised the
knock on effects this would have in searches!)
