In previous versions of word I was able to search through a directory structure for file by
placing in the open slot a partial name of the file. I can do this now but I can only see what i
in the current working directory that I am in. when I try to type somelthing lik
clie*\cast
for a file in "Client Work"\"Castillio resume" I get a cannot find. Word is assuming that cast* is adirectory and can not find it. I am an HR person with over 700 folders, one per client, in my directory. I used this structure becasue an early version word would locate all castillo files if I typed
in castillio and hit open. I used this as a psuedo search function. now it seems it will not work
Is there a way to make */*cast* in the word open function locate all files with the string cast in it form any directory?
