Searching Word Documents in a Folder

In Word 97 I could open a folder full of documents and in the "File Name" box at the bottom type the first couple of words of the document name and it would show me that document (unopened) in a file list along with any others that had the same first couple of words in the file name. I could then open the document that I wanted and make whatever corrections I needed to. It saved time in scrolling through folders with many documents in them.

I now have Word 2002 and I have to type the whole file name and it opens the document automatically but I can't see a list of Word other documents with similar file names. Is there a way to correct this.

Thank you for your help.
