The search function in FP2002 is showing a reference to a page that was
deleted some time ago. The page no longer exists on the server according to
the host nor on my computer as far as I can tell.
I've deleted my temporary internet files and cookies and history and the
page is still listed when I do a search.
I've deleted the search page and reinstated it but the problem still
persists.
Why is this happening and how can I remove the problem?
Many thanks.

You did this on the actual live remote web site, not your local machine,
correct?

OK OK now I see the light thank you.
But slightly different situation now.
When I type some keywords into the search box Usage Statistics for the past
few months are returned. Why is this?

Convert you stats folder to a subweb (or have your host do it)
