Second Personal Folders

I had a corrupt personal folder in Outlook 2000. (Outlook kept lockin
up) Before I deleted it a second personal folder showed up in m
outlook, but there was only one pst file on the computer. I removed th
old personal folder in the mail settings in the control panel an
deleted the old pst file. Then Outlook would not work at all (no ps
file which I knew would happen). I then created a new personal folde
in the mail settings and a pst file. Outlook still would not ope
correctly. I ran a repair on outlook and still no go. I then took a ne
pst file named the same as the corrupt one and put it in th
localsettings/outlook/....(I did not created a new personal folder
Outlook then opened. It checked my mail and worked fine except for th
fact the second personal folder is still there and I cannot delete it
It is not in my mail settings at all. Any thoughts or ideas? I wa
thinking a regisrty fix, but am unsure of where to delete it from i
there. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

It is possible that your registry will not update t properly for your .pst file settings. Please do the
following:

The following registry key contains personal folder file(.pst) settings:

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Messaging\Profiles\Microsoft Outlook
Internet Settings

Removing this key forces Outlook to prompt you for a location or a file name for a new personal folder
(.pst) file.
