Selecting multiple entries on a dropdown list

I am creating a list via the validation option and I was
wondering if anyone knows a way to allow multiple
selections to be made against the list.

If the list contains the following information, can I
select Word, Excel and Visio in the dropdown.
Word
Excel
PowerPoint
Visio

Or, is there a better way to do this?
