Send email from CDRom based site

I have a CDRom which is sent to customers. One of the forms allows the user
to enter their email address and request information. When complete the user
will click a button on the form to send their entry via email. I am having
problems trying to find the necessary method for generating this email. Any
suggestions please?

Change you method to allow the user to connect to a web site, where they then complete the form.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (not just the reader) you could create a fillable
pdf form, and put a mailto:[email protected] link at the bottom of the
form...you should be able to make this work.

Thanks Thomas,

We finally arrived at that conclusion. We had to redo our CDRom so that an
internet connection was not required to display any of the content, however
an internet connection would be required for a user to respond using a web
form or email.

Hi Rob,

This is a good suggestion, we are looking at what is required to open the
default email application and attach the detail captured in the Acrobat form
as an attached .pdf or text.
