"Send" problem

I do not get the any answer from the public.outlook newsgroup. Therefore I
will try my luck here, hope someone can help me out. Thanks!

I have window 98 running outlook XP
For a couple of weeks, when I hit the send button, it comes up illegal
action" and cuts everything
out. Or it will show "can't not send". Sometime the whole messgae will
disappear not even save in draft.

Any help would be much appreciated.
