send/reveice problem

I'm working with W2k and Office2K on a Dell machine

I'm working in disconnected mode and when I synchronize the VPN is starting
automatically and it send the email, but some time they don't leave the
outbox.

So I have to open the mail, close it and synchronize and then it goes away,
I have to do that on each email waiting on the outbox.

But sometime they leave the outbox without any problem.

Any idea of what I could do ?
