Sending emails with attachments

I would like to know when sending files by email, if there is a way to have
the file open when the email is opened rather than have the file arrive as
an attachment..

I see this as a huge security risk for viruses and malware. Your email client
should have some inherent security in it.

Images can be embedded in html... otherwise, no.
