SEnding mail

B

Bob Phillips

Hi all,

For some reason, Outlook has stopped sending mail. It all gets to the
Outbox, but doesn't despatch. Mail is still received okay, on all accounts.

Is there a setting I could have changed? Anyone any ideas/

TIA

Check your account properties on the server tab. you may need to enable
authentication. Ask your ISP if they recently changed how they run their
mail servers. Many have changed to require authentication to cut down on
spam.

Milly,

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't seem to be that.

My wife has an account also, and hers works fine. We both have main ISP
accounts, with Pipex, and supplementary freeUK accounts. In Lynne's, when I
Send/Receive all accounts are checked, so if there is mail from either
account it goes okay, that is Pipex or freeUK.

On my account, all messages from the Pipex mail account is sent okay, but
any mail originating from my freeUK account is not sent. I get mail into the
freeUK account, but that account does not show in the accounts dialog box.

Regards

Bob
