Sending Receiving Error

I am getting an error message "Task '(e-mail address removed)' -
Sending and Receiving reported error(0x800CCC0f):'The
connectionto the server was interrupted.'

I am running SBS2000 to Win98 clients.
I am only trying to send by POP3, not Exchange.
