Sent Items not being saved in Outlook2007

I recently upgraded to Office2007 and began using Outlook as my mail client.
Any messages I send or forward do not show up in the Sent Items folder. This
is incredibly frustrating as Sent Items are a way of confirming a message has
been sent and keeping a copy of same if required. My sparse locks have been
getting sparser in the last 48 hours as I've scoured the web looking for
solutions. Yes the save copies of messages in the Sent Items box is ticked.
I've unticked and reticked it several times. I'm hoping someone here might be
able to help. Please! This problem will be enough to head me to Thunderbird
as a mail client if I can't resolve it.

Didn't know how to edit my original post so just wanted to add that I have
confirmed that the Sent E-Mails are definitely getting to the
recipient.....I'm just not getting a copy as well.

Thanks for your reply. I have 2 POP accounts configured in Outlook. Receiving
and Sending mails is not a problem for either one....it's just being aply to
have copies of any Sent Mail, either New, Forwarded or Repled to that I am
having trouble with. Having just set it up recently I have noticed that it
did Save the first couple of Mails that I sent in the appropriate folder. I'm
wondering if it had something to do with any of the 355mbs of Office updates
and SP2 for Office that I then subsequently downloaded from the update site.
I tried uninstalling the most recent Outlook uopdate but that didn't resolve
the problem.
I'm not sure why my NoD32 would be causing any problem. It never has in the
past.
