sent items

If an email appears in the sent items folder does this mean that it's
definitely been sent ?

I know that it obviously should do... probably ...maybe...

It's just that I was trying to send an email yesterday evening and I
kept getting a message that said it had been interupted and I should
contact the ISP ...blah blah blah...

And now today when I open "the" email and click on properties, it
tells me it has been sent and the time stated was in fact yesterday
evevening.

Are there any more ways of knowing that it has been sent...?

probs not but thanks anyway...

It means that it left your machine but doesn't mean that your SMTP server or
another server along the line hasn't bounced it.
