Sent mail stays in outbox!

Help! I type an email and hit "send". Outlook sends the email succesfully,
but the eamil stays in my outbox. It should go to my "sent items" box. It
resends the email everytime I hit "send" unless I manually delete it. It has
not always done this. Arrrgh!
