Server File Size doesnt go down even when I delete mails from loca

Dear Group Members,

Here's the problem I have:

I use Outlook 2007.
I right click on my mailbox (not a folder in it), and click on the 'Folder
Size' button
I get a dialog box with two tabs: Local Data & Server Data
The Local Data shows a size of 520MB
The Server Data shows a size of 1.17GB
My company set my mailbox size at 1 GB (I need to keep a lot of email)
So, I keep getting messages from sys admin that I am above my limit.
I keep deleting mail (actually moving mail to PST) from my local mailbox
(OST).
My 'Local Data' size gets lesser but my 'Server Data' size remains at 1.17GB
and keeps causing the mailbox size limit message.

My question:
What do I do to reduce the 'Server Data'?

I tried a lot of things - including individually send/receive on all
subfolders,
then I even created a new profile, and generated a new OST file and sync'd
that OST file with the server. Once the sync is done, I still see the server
size is 1.17GB while the new OST file is 520MB!!!

Please help!!

Thanks in advance!

And what did your Exchange admin say when you posed that question?
