Service Pack for Office 2003

Service Pack 1 for Office 2003 came out about a week ago. I'm always
hesitant to install new service packs. Does anyone have any info or
experience with this service pack? Thanks,

It fixes quite a few bugs - many that you probably haven't experienced! As
far as Word, Excel and Outlook go, I have not experienced any problems at
all.

I can't speak yet to my experience using it (though so far have noticed no
changes except that, like all Outlook updates, it hijacks my default email
client selection), but I can speak vociferously to my experience in
downloading it. After trying and failing numerous times with Office Update,
I downloaded the Office and OneNote SPs manually and found that this worked
very smoothly. The OneNote download was interrupted numerous times (I kept
getting messages saying the server was reset), but whenever I restarted the
download, it resumed where it had left off, and I got a progress indicator
on the Taskbar (which you don't with Office Update), and the Office SP
downloaded with no interruptions at all (amazing for a one-hour DL). One
additional advantage to this method is that I could continue working in
Office and leave my AV enabled during the download; I just had to quit Word
and disable NAV before installing the updates.
