Scott

I get daily emails for network managment devices such as spam filters,
antivirus reports etc. I would like for this e-mails to stay in my inbox for
24 hours or until a new report is recieved. how can a rule be set up to move
an e-mail 24 hours later or when a new e-mail is recieved to trigger the old
one to move to its rtespective folder?

I don't think you can do that since Outlook's rules only work on the message
when it first arrives and only the message itself not on related messages.

You can't use rules for that. To move items older than x-days you can use
AutoArchive.
