i have a web page i created in Publisher 2003. the width of the page is set
so that most monitors will see everything without scrolling horizontally.
For people who see a lot of empty space to the right due to their monitor
size and settings, can I make this bg color not be white?

I did this. I went to Format - Background and set the background to 30% tint
of the accent. However, the right of the screen is still showing as white on
my monitor. This equates to part of the page that looks like (off the
screen) on my publisher file. www.adamandkirstin.com

Hi sharlyn ([email protected]),
in the newsgroups
you posted:

That is controlled by the size of your website.

It sounds like you are setting the background incorrectly, and the article
below by David Bartosik should help.

I did what you said... Format, Background. This did not change the
background on the far right of the screen. After I publish to the web, I can
go to each individual html page and set the body bgcolor to what I want (like
you say to do in the Publisher 2000 post provided by DavidF), but then I have
to do this nine times every single time I publish to the web. Is this the
only option I have for Publisher 2003? I cannot find anything addressing
this on the FAQ you mentioned before.
