Set up crashes

Have office 2000 and recently installed a new hard drive with Windows 98

When starting to reinstall Office 2000 Pro, the system prompts me for Disk
everything slows to a crawl and after 5 min I get the blue screen of death

It tells me that the disk is dirty and to press any key to continue but the syste
hangs and then just reboots

I have installed the full version on the old hard drive but ..
