Set up database that updates automatically Qty's entered

I need to set up a database that updates automatically Qty's entered in
another worksheet...I need it to work in a way that I enter a quantity of
line item in a worksheet and brings in to a cell next to it the cumulative
quantity of that line Item....can anynone help?...thanks
