setting one font for PowerPoint

Is there a way to set one font to be used on all the
slides in a presentation? For example, I would like to
set it at Andy 60 white.

On any slide create a text box with anything in it. Just an "a" will do.
Press escape to select the entire text box, and go to Format > Font. Select
your font and other settings (size, color, etc.) and then check the box that
says "default for new objects" and press OK. Now delete the text box. Your
default font has been changed.

Thank you. I did that and it worked for that slide, but
when I added another slide, it went back to the previous
font. I am trying to set it so that the entire
presentation will be in Andy 66. Did I do something
wrong?

Are you using PowerPoint 2003? Try just going to View > Master > Slide
Master. Then go back to View > Normal. Is the default now in effect on all
slides/

There's some real weirdness with PowerPoint 2003. It seems to require
flipping to the master view and back for the new default font to always show
up. I never noticed that before.

Thanks. That worked. But when I closed that
presentation and opened a new one, it went back to the
old settings. Should it have done that?
I can live with that. I would only have to change it
once for each presentation.

If you want it to be permanent for that particular template, open a new
presentation and then go to View > Master > Slide Master, make the font
change and then do a File > Save As and don't change the name but be sure
that the selected File Type is Design Template(*.POT).

Click off the slide so that nothing's selected. Then
select the font you want
in the font dropdown listbox on the formatting toolbar.
That should help

That didn't work. I looked and I have 2002. Now I can't
get it to change at all.

Can't get what to change, Dot? Can you describe in more
detail? Thanks.

I have fixed it since. I was having a problem making the
template. When I finished and tried to add a new slide,
it went back to the previous template. I have that
figured out now. Thanks.
