Setting Outlook as my default email program

How do I set Outlook to my default email. I tried going to
Tools -> Opitions -> Other Tab and clicking the box that
said "make ... my defaults" but I don't have that box. Any
ideas? Thanks

Forgot to tell you I am using Office 2000.

Go to Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs tab and set your default
mail program there.
