Setting up discussion web as sub-site w/in larger web site

T

TheBibleBlog

I am attempting to add one or more discussion webs within
http://www.thebibleblog.com one is at www.thebibleblog.com/forum_frm
I need to know how to set-up a seperate default index page for the
discussion sub-site. If I use the option within the wizard it replaces the
primary index page. I have tried placing all the pages within a folder and
converting the folder to a web but I somehow and up changing the names. (I've
tried drag and drop and right click menu w/in folder list both to same
effect.) When I leave the pages "lose" in the folder list replies do not
post. I have a folder on that already contains tocproto.htm and pages
....Forum/00000002, 00000003, etc. can I right click on the folder and select
convert to folder? Can you give me step by step walk through? From opening
wizard through setting seperate default index?

1) Open the main web in FrontPage
2) Create a new folder for the discussion web
3) Convert the folder into a sub web (Right click and choose "Convert
to Web")
4) Open the sub web in FrontPage by double-clicking it
5) File->New
Choose Web/Site and choose the discussion web template - in the
template dialogue choose to place it in the same web.
Follow the wizard. The default page for the discussion web will be
set automatically, and since it is in a subweb, your root web will not
be affected.

Alternatively, Open the main web in FrontPage, then go straight to
step 5), but choose to install the discussion web in a new Web (this
is the default). IMPORTANT - Change the suggested subweb location to
suit your requirements.

Your server must support FrontPage extensions and subwebs.
Discussion webs should always be created *in* a subweb - don't convert
an existing discussion web folder into a subweb, you will lose the
_borders files at least .
