Setup Fails

I have been having a devil of a time with my Office 2003 installation. I am
currently in a position where it refuses to install at all. While trying to
get automatic updates (junk e-mail and one security) to install, I finally
gave up and just ran the MSI cleanup utility and deleted the Microsoft Office
Directory.

I have tried to reinstall without success.

Help!

I had a hard drive crash but I managed to save what was on the C Drive.
I ty to do a new install and it looks for my G:\ drive then when it
can't find it it won't let me install.

I have deleted everything I can find, renamed the Office11 directory and
even tried the resource kit. I even tried it's uninstall. And I got a
Registry Cleaner to get rind of unassociated entries.

Help, can someone tell me where that pointer is that points to my G:\
drive so I can delete it and do an install from scratch.

I have MS Office 2003 Small Business Edition.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and your guidance.

Bud - did you ever find a resolution to this problem? I am experiencing the
exact same thing when trying to apply updates.....
