Shading the space btw 2 lines on a line graph

I am making a chart with 2 lines that eventually intersect. I would like to
know how to shade the gap between the dotted line (on top) and the solid line
on bottom without shading the entire graph?

Hi Morgan-

Assuming you mean that you are making a chart using Insert> Picture> Chart,
I believe your best bet is to use the Freeform Line AutoShape tool
(available on the Drawing Toolbar while working in the MS Graph window).

Using it you can click to establish each point of the triangular area you
want to fill, then click your starting point to close the shape. Fill with
whatever color you want, and either change the Line color to be the same or
use No Line from the Line Color palette.
