Shape with default text ?

hi,
i am new to visio shapes. hope someone here can help me.

i have specified a simple shape, a rectangular. i can without problem write
a text when i create a visio drawing using this shape and be able to read it
when i save it in the vdx format and parse it with my xsl.

now i my question is: is it possible to specify the text in the shape itself
so that when i create a drawing the text is automatically included in the
drawing itself. i tried to write the text in the shape. when i create the
drawing i can see the text but the text is not as the text of the shape but
of the master shape only.

please help.
