Hi =?Utf-8?B?VE4=?=,
Does any body know how you can make a shared Network dictionary for
use in word, so that when 1 person adds a word to the dictionary it will
benefit all the other users. I imagine somebody has created something
for this but I cannot find anything.It would certainly help to know which version of Word we're dealing
with?
Basically, what you ask is possible, BUT:
1. Word supports using more than one Custom dictionary.
2. These are managed through Tools/Options/Spelling and Grammar
3. Depending on which version of Word you have, and what languages are
enabled, words that are added custom dictionary could go to different
custom dictionaries (Word 2002 and later)
4. Added words will always go into the first *active* custom dictionary
IOW, under certain circumstances it could be tricky to make sure added
words always go to this shared dictionary. Getting everyone's machine to
"see" and use it for the spell-check, however, would be no problem.
